My kiddos………….

One of the greatest things in life is being a daddy! Ever since I was a kid I knew I wanted to be a dad (and a CHP officer like “Poncherello”).

We have been blessed with 2 great kids. Both unique and TOTALLY different from each other.

CARIS MARIE

Pronounced “care-iss” means God’s grace in Greek. She really stands true to her name. This little girl came out of the womb smiling! Here is a picture of me and her at 10 minutes old (photo credit our Maternity Nurse Julie)

Here our some recent portraits I took of her a couple of months ago.

Caris and her one dimple

The more you tell them NOT to jump on the bed the higher they bounce!

GAVIN

Gavin is our first child and is 4 years old. He is the total opposite of his sister. “G” as I like to call him is very shy and introspective.

I like this picture of him because I feel it captures his personality. It also reminds me of an early Johnny Cash portrait taken many years ago.

This summer we went swimming every other day.

TOGETHER

They compliment each other perfectly.

We have a boy and a girl. We have an extrovert and an introvert. One shy and the other outgoing………….No matter what they are they still love hanging out with each other!

Travels this year

Photography has opened up so many doors and opportunities to meet great people and travel. This year I was fortunate enough to photograph a wedding in Paris and also in West Virginia.
In Paris………

I had a fun time waking up in the early hours of the morning to walk the streets of Paris and capture some images.

Washington DC……

In May I had a chance to visit Washington DC and see all the great historical landmarks/monuments. We were there during Memorial Day weekend which was a pretty emotional time to be in the nation’s capital. Thousands of vets from various wars come upon the mall to remember their fallen friends.
Every Memorial Day weekend in Washington DC you can hear what sounds like constant thunder. The annual “Rolling Thunder” event takes place. Over 100,000 motorcyclists (many which are veterans) congregate to raise awareness and publicize POW-MIA issues.

Rolling Thunder

I snapped this pic at the Lincoln Memorial of students on a class field trip.

All work and no play makes Louis a dull boy!
